Dear Interested Party:
Hi, I would like to tell you a little about my terminal program
for the IBM PCs and compatibles. It is designed to control the
ACC RC-85 and RC-96 repeater controller. It is used in conjunction
with a Hayes compatible modem with COM1 or COM2. The modem is used
to generate DTMF to the ACC controller just the same as the control
operator would do from his telephone keypad. The first time this
program is run it will ask you a series of questions about your
repeater:
1. MODEM IS ON COM1 OR COM2 ?
2. WHAT VERSION ACC FIRMWARE 2, 3, 4, OR 5 ?
3. USER AUTO DIAL LOAD / ERASE COMMAND BANK 0?
4. USER AUTO DIAL LOAD / ERASE COMMAND BANK 1?
5. ACC UNLOCK CODE
6. CONTROL OP CODE?
7. TWO MINUTE TIMER EXTEND CODE?
8. REPEATER PHONE NUMBER ?
9. DIAL REPEATER PULSE OR TONE <P/T> ?
10. HOW MANY SECONDS IT TAKES CONTROLLER TO ANSWER PHONE ?
11. WHAT TIME FOR SCHEDULING MACRO 1 (HH:MM:SS) OR (OFF) ?
12. WHAT TIME FOR SCHEDULING MACRO 2 (HH:MM:SS) OR (OFF) ?
13. ENTER YOUR PASSWORD FOR ENTRY OF PROGRAM ? <ENTER> = NONE
These answers are saved to a file called ACC.DAT. For your
security, this file is scrambled so it cannot be viewed. The program
supports autodial programming, configuration commands, and control
opcodes with help from the ACC.DAT file. The configuration command
supports cw, voice, DVR, and external device setups. An example is, for
speech you just type the word from the vocabulary and the program sends
the proper DTMF code from the modem to the controller. From the main
menu, macro 1 - 5 are supported by calling the repeater, invoking the
selected macro, and hanging up with a single key stroke. Autodial
numbers are saved to a data file to keep track of autodial slots and to
be printed out or uploaded back to the controller. Help instructions
are built in and user friendly menues are present.
This program has been tested by Advanced Computer Controls and they
have given me their full support. The program eliminates the use of the
ACC manual once you are familiar with it and the controller. The list
of speech vocabulary words is all you will need. A PRNTDOCS.EXE file is
also included to fully explain all of the features and give some hints
to help you along. Many terminal program owners have written to me
expressing great satisfaction with this program.
The file name of this program is ACCRC-85.EXE and costs $39.95 for
a single licensed copy or $49.95 for a group licensed copy, plus $3.00
shipping and handling to the above address. NO C.O.D.s.
Sincerely,
Andrew J. Kadvan Jr.
